Install Kukai (kukai.app) or Temple wallet. Create an account and save your seed phrase safely.

Buy XTZ (Tezos) on any exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, etc.) and send to your address. 5–10 XTZ is enough to start.

Search for a wallet address or .tez name. Following curates your personal feed — only their activity appears.

Artist Pass required

DRAW mode — Canvas Studio

A full digital painting canvas with layers, brushes, and blend modes. Paint, compose, and draw original works directly in the browser. No software installation needed. Your canvas auto-snapshots when switching to DERU or MEDE modes.

COLLAGE mode

Import images, resize, rotate, flip, skew, and layer them freely on the canvas. Create mixed-media compositions by combining photos, drawings, and textures. Crisp Edges toggle available for pixel-art materials.

GENERATIVE mode

Algorithmic art tools powered by code-driven patterns. Create unique generative pieces using built-in algorithms, noise fields, and parametric designs. (Artist Pass required)

PIX mode — Pixel Studio

Dedicated pixel art editor built into the Atelier. Up to 8 independent layers, 128×128 resolution, custom palette swatches with localStorage persistence. Draw, toggle-erase (click existing pixels to erase), composite layers, export as PNG or mint directly.

me:DERU — Extensible Multi-EFX Engine

me:DERU has two modes: DERU EFX (layer compositing with 22+ EFX modules, 16 blend modes in 6 categories: Basic/Darken/Lighten/Contrast/Inversion/Color, opacity control, real-time preview) and MEDE EFX (visual node-graph pipeline for complex effect chains with Split Compose, custom masking, and parameter persistence). Images transfer seamlessly: DRAW→DERU (auto-snapshot + auto-layer), DERU→MEDE (composited output), MEDE→DERU (processed result as new layer). Use 🎲 CHAOS for random node chains, 🧬 MUTATE to scramble parameters.

GIF Studio (DERU → GIF tab)

Create animated GIFs from library frames. Features: multi-frame timeline with per-frame delay, playback direction (Forward / Reverse / Ping-Pong), timeline editing (auto P-Pong, Shuffle, Reverse, Clear), speed presets (Slow/Normal/Fast/Rapid), size presets, quality/color/dither settings, and Space key play/pause. Export as .gif file.

POST mode — Mint your work

After finishing your artwork, switch to POST mode. Upload images or drag & drop directly. Set title, description, tags, custom traits (key:value pairs), royalty (up to 25%), editions, and optional price. Supports image, video (MP4/WebM up to 100MB), and audio (MP3/WAV/OGG/FLAC up to 100MB). Then mint directly onto Tezos as an FA2 token.

Video NFT Minting

Upload MP4/WebM video files (up to 100MB) in POST mode. A GIF thumbnail is auto-generated from the first 3 seconds for social previews. Videos are uploaded directly to IPFS via Pinata — no server size limits. Video NFTs play inline in the feed with a ▶ VIDEO badge.

Audio NFT Minting

Upload MP3/WAV/OGG/FLAC audio files (up to 100MB) in POST mode. Cover art image is required — upload a JPG/PNG/GIF as the display artwork for your audio piece. Auto-generated traits include Format (MP3/WAV/etc.) and Duration (mm:ss). Audio NFTs display with a 🎵 AUDIO badge in the feed. Click to open the artwork modal where cover art is shown with an integrated audio player below. Fully compatible with Objkt.com (TZIP-21 metadata).

Custom Trait Editor

Add custom key:value trait pairs to your NFT metadata. These appear as attributes on Objkt and other marketplaces. Combine with auto-generated Material Artist/Material traits from used presets.

Auto-Snapshot & Library

Every mode switch (DRAW→DERU, DRAW→MEDE) automatically snapshots your canvas to the Studio Library with full material attribution metadata. Access your snapshot history from the 📸 drawer anytime.

Pipeline & Module Bridge

DRAW/PIX artwork can be sent to Pipeline slots for cross-module workflows — use as base images in DERU compositing, MEDE node chains, GIF Studio, or the Gacha Layer Composer.

Mouse & Trackpad Tips

• MEDE Editor: Shift+Click to select multiple nodes, or Option(Alt)+Drag to multi-select nodes in an area. Press Delete/Backspace to delete all selected nodes at once. • Material Presets: Hover over the numbered preset tabs and use your mouse scroll wheel to browse horizontally. You can also click-and-drag the tabs, or use the ◀ ▶ arrow buttons that appear on each side. • Trackpad: Two-finger horizontal swipe over the tabs. • Backspace / Delete key: Removes the selected element (Collage mode) or current frame (GIF Studio). • Space key: Play / pause GIF preview in GIF Studio. • S key: Save/download current canvas. ⌘⇧N: New blank canvas.

Create a Collection

Go to Atelier → [ New Collection ]. Set a name, description, and thumbnail. Each collection deploys its own FA2 smart contract on Tezos — your own on-chain gallery.

Invite Collaborators

When creating a collection, add collaborators by wallet address or .tez name. They will receive an on-chain invitation to accept and join the collection.

Co-Creator Royalties

Set a royalty percentage (up to 25%) and split it among co-creators. Royalties are enforced by the smart contract on every secondary sale. The split is calculated automatically and stored on-chain.

Material Credits

When using material presets from other artists in the Atelier, those artists are automatically credited in the NFT metadata. They receive a share of every sale — 8% total, split evenly among all material artists used.

Mint into Collections

After creating a collection, select it from the drop-down in POST mode. Your artwork is minted directly into that collection's contract.

Free Mint — Custom Landing Pages

Create beautiful free mint pages for your community. Select any tokens you hold, customize the page with title (multiline supported), background image (tiled repeat), fonts (17 options incl. Monoton, Orbitron, Rock Salt), title stroke color, layout alignment (Center/Left/Right), and more. Title sizes from XS to XXXL are available.

This is REAL Free Mint

No gas fees for collectors — mederu covers the transaction fees. Collectors simply connect their wallet and click claim. The NFT is transferred automatically, completely free.

Per-Token Claiming

When your page has multiple NFTs, collectors can select and claim each one individually. MAX_PER_WALLET applies per token — if set to 1, collectors can claim one of each NFT in the collection.

Supply Limits (MAX_SUPPLY)

Limit the total number of free mints. For example, mint 420 editions but set MAX_SUPPLY to 100 — only 100 will be given away for free. Set to 0 for unlimited. The page shows a "SOLD OUT" message when the limit is reached.

Audio & Video Playback

Audio NFTs display cover art with an inline player. Video NFTs play inline with controls. Collectors can listen/watch before claiming.

Slug-Based URLs

Each free mint page gets a custom URL based on its title. For example, "Summer Drop" becomes /free-mint/summer-drop. Easy to share, easy to remember.

Time-Limited Minting

Set a minting availability window with start and end dates. Toggle the "Time Limited" option in the editor and pick dates using the calendar picker. The page automatically shows "Minting Opens" or "Minting Period Ended" messages.

CSV Export & Management

Download a CSV of all claimer addresses from the admin panel on your page. Deep-edit links jump you straight to the correct edit form in your Toolkit.

Inline Editing

Edit your existing free mint pages directly from the Toolkit. Modify title, fonts, colors, time window, supply limit, add/remove tokens — changes are saved instantly.

Share & Promote

Each free mint page has built-in share buttons: copy link and share to X/Twitter. Spread the word about your free drops. Dynamic OG images are auto-generated for rich social previews.

Delete Free Mint Pages

Remove unwanted free mint pages permanently. Click the red DELETE button on any page in your list. A confirmation dialog prevents accidental deletion.

Send Tab — Batch Transfer

Transfer your NFTs to other wallets. Select tokens and enter the destination address. Useful for airdrops, gifts, or moving artwork between wallets.

Fans Tab — Holder Analytics

See who collects and holds your artwork. View a list of unique wallets that hold tokens from your collections.

Layer Composer

Upload multiple image layers to auto-generate a collection of unique trait combinations. Set weights and rarity per trait. Multi-image background support with gradient directionality (linear + radial).

Image Compression

Choose a compression mode before uploading artworks: • Balanced — max 2048px / quality 85% (recommended) • Max Compress — max 1024px / quality 72% (fastest upload) • Original — uncompressed (for high-res work)

Mint a Gacha

Select quantity → confirm price → click "GACHA MINT" → sign in wallet. A random work from the collection is revealed instantly.

Share your collect

After minting, share the result to X with one click. Your artwork is on Tezos forever.

Open the door

Step through the door into a 3D corridor gallery showcasing an artist's collection. Walk through the hallway and experience art in an immersive space.

Navigate

Click or use ↑↓ arrow keys to walk forward/backward through the corridor.

Leave a guestbook entry

Type a message in the guestbook — it posts automatically to the BBS community board.

Enter a portal

At the end of the corridor, glowing doors lead to galleries of artists you follow. Keep exploring.

How referral works

When someone opens your shared link and purchases the artwork, you receive +5 $MDRU as a referral reward. The reward is sent automatically — no extra steps needed.

After purchase

After buying, a congratulations screen appears with a pre-composed tweet. Share your collection to X or Farcaster with one click.

Do I need a wallet to browse?

No. Browsing the feed, exploring galleries, and reading the BBS is free and wallet-free.

What wallets are supported?

Kukai and Temple are recommended. Any Tezos-compatible wallet works.

How much does minting cost?

Tezos gas fees are typically 0.001–0.01 XTZ (< $0.02). Plus the artwork price set by the artist.

Do royalties work on resales?

Yes. Royalties (set by artists, up to 25%) are enforced by the smart contract on every secondary sale — forever.

How do I become an artist on mederu?

Which browser should I use?

Chrome or Brave (desktop) is strongly recommended. The Atelier and MEDE node editor are optimized for Chromium-based browsers. Safari has known layout issues with the node editor.

Can I mint audio/music NFTs?

Yes! Upload MP3, WAV, OGG, or FLAC files in POST mode. Cover art (JPG/PNG/GIF) is required. Format and Duration traits are auto-generated. Audio NFTs show a 🎵 AUDIO badge in the feed and play with an integrated audio player in the artwork modal. Metadata is TZIP-21 compatible with Objkt.com.
